COVID-19 EM SÃO FRANCISCO

Resumo


Este artigo objetiva retratar impactos da pandemia de COVID-19 em São Francisco, na perspectiva de uma habitante da cidade. Para tanto, lança mão de blocos de tempo em que o “antes” se separa do “agora” e do “depois”. Como em tantas partes do mundo, o “agora” e o “depois” ainda permanecem entrelaçados, do mesmo modo que o futuro se presentifica a cada segundo. Uma linha reta imaginária sobre o oceano Pacífico conecta Wuhan, na China, a São Francisco, nos Estados Unidos da América. Entretanto, o novo coronavírus seguiu caminhos diversos entre um ponto e outro, esvaziando ruas, escolas, escritórios e casas de uma das áreas mais densamente povoada da Califórnia. Na área da Baía de São Francisco e na própria cidade, ecoam passos de animais e cores há muito perdidas na natureza durante o confinamento oficial. As ponderações da cidade em retornar (ou não) ao cotidiano anterior à pandemia despertam reflexões que fazem das especificidades de SãoFrancisco experiências de cada habitante do planeta em 2020.
