Abstract

This study analyzes academic productions that address the intersection between the themes of creative economy and crafts. The meta-study used articles from the Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior  (CAPES) as a basis. Seventeen articles were found, of which eight articles were analyzed, which underwent categorical content analysis and lexical analysis, with the help of IRAMUTEQ. It was found that there are few academic productions involving creative economy and crafts, and that the authors do not have a consistent study on this topic. The first article located was in 2017, the journals that published the most are in Santa Catarina and half of them are from stratum A. As a contribution, this study offers support in understanding the existing scientific knowledge on the correlation between the terms crafts and creative economy, and the approaches used in the studies, while identifying gaps for future theoretical and practical advances.
